When it comes to word puzzle online games, there’s the ever beloved crossword puzzle where you have to solve for the correct words described either across or down the puzzle piece.
At this time, crosswords puzzles have been given various twists. Another popular word game is the Book Worm. This is just like Scrabble but with a twist wherein you advance to different levels if you reach a certain amount of points, get very big points for forming words that are recommended, use the burning tiles in a word before it reaches the bottom row of the word tiles, and use the golden tiles for extra, extra bonuses. This game is also good for enriching your vocabulary especially when you accidentally form a word that you never thought existed before.
Another word game is the Text twist. In this online game, you are given a certain number of letters and you are required to make as many words as you can from the given set. The words that you form must not be a given name of a person or place, and must be composed of three letters minimum. In order to get to the next level, you must get to use all of the given letters and form the longest word or one of the longest words if there are more than two of those, in five minutes. In short, the ruling is that you have to form, or guess, the longest word by using all the letters given in a space of five minutes. Even if you came up with only the longest word, you can still advance to the next level. If you guessed or formed all but the longest word in time, then you can not advance to the next level.
The latest addicting puzzle online game is Sudoku. Being around for hundreds of years now, this game does not use words or letters but uses numbers. In this game, you are presented with eighty-one squares. In the entire game piece, numbers from one to nine are randomly placed in boxes. Your goal is to place the remaining numbers in a way that you are able to have the numbers one to nine in a row and in a column without repetition of a number. Also, all the eighty one boxes are placed in groups of nine to form a bigger box. You have to make sure that the numbers that you are supplying not only is not repeating in the same row or column but also in that big box made up of nine squares. It is okay if you do not get the mechanics of the game right away, you have to really take a good look at a Sudoku puzzle board before you can really understand.
